C. Moody Conditioning and Wellness

Hello My Name Is...

Craig Moody

C$

Welcome to Coach Moody's Webpage. I have a Bachelors in Physical Education and a Masters in Athletic/Activities Administration.  This will be my 12th year teaching and my sixth in Douglas County.  I am still excited to be a part of the ever changing Ranch View Family.   I have coached multiple sports (mainly basketball) for 15 plus years and I hope to continue to offer my experiences to the students here at Ranch View.   From 2014-2018 I was a Girls Basketball Varsity Assistant at TRHS.
2016 5A STATE CHAMPIONS!!! (#15 USA Today)

In my spare time I enjoy sporting events, either in person or on TV, exploring the great Colorado mountains and fishing holes and returning to Missouri to see my family and friends.   I also enjoy being a sub Stadium Manager at Shea Stadium and keeping score for all the high school football games at Shea.  When possible, I enjoy watching former students participate in their high school sports and activities as well as watching current students do the same.  I try to take advantage of any chance to support our students and student-athletes (theater, band, talent show, school dance etc.)

My mission is to inspire students to enjoy being physically active in and beyond the classroom.  It is not enough to simply teach them how to be active, if it is not enjoyed, it will not be sought.  Thank you for visiting my webpage.

I am originally from a small town (not so small anymore) in Southwest Missouri.   After graduating high school I attended Southwest Baptist University and after realizing I was not ready for college I joined the work force.  It did not take me real long to learn I did not like to work either.  =)  So I did what turned out to be the best decision of my life, I joined the Army.  After more than 5 years on active duty I left to finish college.  While attending Southwest Missouri State (now Missouri State) I started coaching junior high girls basketball.  After obtaining my degree I started teaching and continued to coach.  I have coached girls and boys basketball at both the junior high and high school levels.  I have also coached high school softball, baseball and volleyball and junior high football and track and field.

I moved to Colorado in November 2011 and have enjoyed many of the outdoor adventures this great state offers.  I worked at Coors Field in 2012 and got to see all but about 7 baseball games.  I have two brothers and two nephews.

My favorite sports teams include the Duke Blue Devils, St. Louis Cardinals and the
Kansas City Chiefs.  =)

I am most proud of finishing Basic Training, earning my Bachelors and my Masters, and being a part of the 2016 TRHS Girls Basketball 5A State Championship Team.
