Mrs. Snell's Social Studies Class

Hi!  Welcome to Mrs. Snell's Social Studies!
8 Arctic

We will be learning about American History, from the "Age of Exploration" to the "American Civil War" (1500s - 1865)

A little bit about me...

I have been teaching Social Studies in Douglas County for 27 years, 23 of those at Ranch View. I also have a Master's Degree in School Counseling, and spent one year as a Counselor here at RVMS. I have a husband who is a music teacher, and three wonderful kids! As a Colorado native, I love to spend my free time enjoying the outdoors with my family and friends. I love working with 8th Graders and teaching American History. There are so many fun and interesting ways to appreciate our country's past, as well as the "history" of today!

Supplies you will need:

- Please get: - One 3-ring binder (any size is fine) - this will be your binder to use in all of your classes. - Five dividers and plenty of lined paper (either wide or college ruled) for your binder - Other general supplies, such as notecards, pens, pencils, paper, colored pencils, rulers, etc., which will also be used in all of your classes.

This is going to be a great year! Please feel free to contact me anytime you have questions, concerns, or ideas.
