Battle of the Books
The LMC @ Ranch View Middle School will be hosting Battle of the Books (BoB) during the 2nd semester.
The purpose of a Battle of the Books is to encourage reading through a friendly, quick-action, competition. Teams of five students compete against each other in a quiz-bowl-type competition. Students and Librarians across the district will create the questions for the battle as they are reading the books. The winning teams (up to two) from Ranch View will compete against the following middle schools:
Castle Rock | Cimarron | Cresthill | Mesa | Mountain Ridge | Ranch View | Rocky Heights | Sagewood | Sierra
Battle of the Books Schedule
Now -February:
Read the books, submit book questions and form teams (Students form their own teams). If you do not have a team, you can submit the form listing yourself and we will see if we can connect you with others.
February 1st:
Team Registrations are due February 1st. All registered team participants need to sign up in MySchoolBucks as well (link coming).
February/March:
Team practices (More details coming)
April:
Ranch View School Battle - March 2026 TBD - Determines the 2 teams for RVMS at the DCSD Battle
DCSD Battle - April 1, 2026 (No transportation provided)
