About me

I am from snowy upstate New York, where I started teaching middle school Language Arts in 2009. Since then, my wife and I relocated twice to Portland, OR, and now to Denver. We have a spunky Boston Terrier named Izzy and cranky "supermutt" named Jones. When I'm not teaching (or grading), I enjoy camping, hiking, exploring downtown restaurants, cooking, and binge watching series. I feel incredibly lucky to be on Arctic 8 with such talented colleagues and look forward to working with everyone this year!
