About Me

Hello my name is Mr. May and I am the Science teacher on Team Arctic Wolves. Though I have been teaching for twenty years, this is only my third year at RVMS. I believe that I may be just as excited as our incoming seventh graders.

EDUCATION:

BACHELORS DEGREE IN BIOLOGY AND GENERAL SCIENCE FROM WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY

MASTERS DEGREE IN CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION FROM LOYOLA COLLEGE OF MARYLAND

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:

I started my teaching career in Maryland working for Baltimore County Public Schools. After ten years of teaching and working as a curriculum writer in Maryland, my wife and I decided that we wanted a change. We made the trek to Colorado to see if it would be a good to place to raise our kids. We feel as though we could not have made a better choice!

I started teaching for DCDS at Sierra Middle School in Parker. I was a seventh grade Science teacher at SMS for eight years. I learned so much from the wonderful teachers and students at the school, but driving toward Parker every day took me away from my family. RVMS was the perfect place for me to teach.  The excellent reputation of the school made the decision to change much easier for me.  I am now closer to home and I have an opportunity to work in such a great community.  I really enjoy it here and I am sure that you will as well!
