Hi, my name is Mrs. Cartwright and this will be my 7th year teaching Social Studies at Ranch View! I have been married for over four years now, so some of your older siblings or parents may have known me as Ms. Cherry! I have one "fur baby" named Sven that is a 5 year old Great Pyrenees mix who I love dearly. In my spare time I like to do all sorts of fun things with my family like wake surfing, going to Avalanche games and trying new restaurants!
In college I attended the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with my degree in Social Sciences for Secondary Education! Although I am originally from Canada I spent most of my childhood in Highlands Ranch and attended Mountain Ridge Middle School and Mountain Vista High School not too long ago!
I also just officially became an American citizen last September and now have dual citizenship with the US and Canada. I am so excited to put my knowledge of US History and Civics to the test and take on a new challenge teaching 8th grade US History in addition to 7th grade World History this year. I love teaching, coaching and organizing all sorts of fun learning opportunities for Ranch View students but I truly enjoy just being with each one of you everyday. We are going to have a fabulous year!
